Paid on the Nail at 50
In the early 1970s, Graham joined a travelling mission team called ‘In the Name of Jesus’ that used to help local churches reach out to their local communities. During this time Graham wrote and recorded his third studio album. ‘Paid on the Nail’ was originally released on the Key Records label in 1974 and features the classic How Much Do You Think You Are Worth?, Beautiful Night, and Caiaphas and the Temple Guard.
Now 50 years old, Paid on the Nail is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and other streaming channels as well as being available as a download on the website. There are also lyric video accompaniments to watch or download.
Paid on the Nail continued the acoustic/folky style which had been Graham’s hallmark in his earlier recordings but also introduced a wider variety and subtlety of arrangements and other instruments including Peter Roe on Moog synthesiser!
