What is Compassion International?
Compassion child sponsorship is a powerful and enduring way to tackle world poverty. Compassion seeks out some of the world’s most vulnerable children and through individual sponsors provides them with the means to break the cycle of poverty and create a bright future.
Working exclusively through local churches in developing countries, Compassion ensures there is financial integrity, long-term commitment and the opportunity for every child to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus Christ. In every aspect of its work Compassion is Christ centred, child focused and church based.
As a Compassion sponsor your support of £25 a month will ensure that a child in need has access to good nutrition, education, healthcare, social and emotional care and spiritual nurturing. Sponsors are invited to pray regularly for the child they support and to write letters of encouragement to them. Last year alone, more than 127,634 children came to know Christ through the intervention of Compassion programmes across the world.
As sponsored children grow up with the skills and self confidence they need for the future many go on to great things that positively impact their families and communities. Contact Compassion
